2017 AVCA Week 8 poll: Top 6 remain static

Wittenberg had its lead narrowed atop the AVCA Week 8 poll. The Tigers received 47 first-place votes while No. 2 Colorado College picked up the remaining 20 top votes. Last week Wittenberg had a 55-12 advantage over Colorado College in first-place votes.

The Tigers and Tigers are once again followed in the Week 8 poll by No. 3 Southwestern, No. 4 Calvin, No. 5 Trinity (Texas) and No. 6 Carnegie Mellon.

Central and Midwest region teams in the Week 8 top 25: No. 9 Wisconsin-Whitewater; No. 10 Millikin; No. 12 Washington-St. Louis; No. 13 Illinois Wesleyan; No. 14 Northwestern; No. 15 Chicago; No. 16 Gustavus Adolphus; No. 18 St. Thomas.

Central and Midwest region teams receiving votes this week: Wisconsin-Stevens Point; Iowa Wesleyan (surely a typo); Cornell; Wisconsin-La Crosse; Aurora; Concordia Wisconsin; Carthage; Wartburg.

My Week 8 top 10 had Stevenson, Johns Hopkins, Illinois Wesleyan and Johnson & Wales (R.I.) instead of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Emory, Wisconsin-Whitewater and Millikin.
