2016 AVCA Week 10 poll: Defending champs back on top

Defending national champion Cal Lutheran will enter the NCAA Championship as the top-ranked team in the AVCA Week 10 poll. The Regals received 31 of 49 first-place votes.

Calvin falls one spot to No. 2 after garnering 16 top votes. Emory and Hope picked up one first-place vote apiece.

Rounding out the top five teams in the Week 10 poll are third-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, fourth-ranked Texas Dallas and fifth-ranked Emory.

Central and Midwest teams in this week’s top 25: No. 11 UW-Whitewater; No. 15 UW-La Crosse; No. 16 Washington-St. Louis; No. 17 UW-Oshkosh; No. 18 Northwestern; No. 20 UW-Stevens Point; No. 23 Elmhurst.

Central and Midwest teams receiving votes this week: Millikin; Gustavus Adolphus; Wartburg; St. Thomas; UW-Eau Claire.
