  1. Thank you for sharing this but I wonder how Berry, as #3 in the South, does not get a bid? Geography? Especially over Susquehanna (who they just beat last weekend)? Did anyone in the South earn bids? Who is the chair?

  2. eaglefan,
I’d absolutely add Berry to the queue of teams that have to be wondering what happened. In the final accounting, I’ll grant the committee Stevens over Augsburg. But Clark, Ramapo and Susquehanna over some others? Nope.

  3. I think it’s obvious that budget limitations prevented Berry from being selected. Of course, if I bring that up in another forum (for instance) it will get shouted down. I 100% know that if Berry was located in the north east it would have received a selection.

The South has to have the regional host in the south for the south to receive at-large bids. Right now, the west dominates the travel budget due to how spread out it is and the incredible talent of their teams.

If I’m Berry, I’m making trips to NY and NE next year and trying to make a name. Win and you may steal an at-large spot from the west region and get an at-large.

  4. Annoyed the final PDF sheets aren’t available. I remembered to copy off all of the previous west sheets but need to remember to copy all of the regions next year.
