  1. if Shelby Knowles of Wheaton College doesn’t win CCIW player of the week award for this past week, I don’t know what all.

Wheaton College upset both Illinois Wesleyan and Chicago and her numbers in those matches:

    IWU 27 kills
    Chicago 24 kills

and going back to last Saturday in a win against Ohio Wesleyan, she had 23 kills. in three consecutive matches she notches 23, 24, and 27 kills.

  2. Big weekend for the west. CMS and Cal Lu square off in a battle for the #1 ranking in the west. UTD will actually play top teams to give us an idea where they stand in all of this. Colorado College draws both Trinity and Southwestern. In other news, Whitworth now owns a 2 game lead in the Northwest. Winner of that league gets probably the only bid to the tournament from that conference.
