  1. You can probably count on one hand the division 3 schools that put on a first rate broadcasting of their volleyball matches and wheaton college would be among them.

Shelby Knowles has to be one of the best players on a mediocre team for wheaton. It’s too bad she’s never had the talent around her since her freshmen year for her to experience any real success on the court.

The last several years wheaton college has upset the following in conference:

    2016 Illinois Wesleyan
    2015 Millikin
    2014 Elmhurst

They’re always good for one big conference upset.

  2. Anon @ 9:22,
I agree that Wheaton produces a good webcast. I tuned in for a good portion tonight.

Other webcasts that I’ve appreciated over the years: Dominican; Elmhurst; Wartburg; UW-Whitewater; Luther; Nebraska Wesleyan; Maranatha; Bethel; Alverno; Edgewood; Washington-St. Louis; Eastern; Cal Lutheran; CMS.

Plenty of others, but those stick out from the front of my memory. I know the UW-Oshkosh kids produce a good one, too, but I don’t get to watch it.

I appreciate any school that merely gives me a video feed with audio. A vast majority of schools do. Off the top of my head, there may be just a handful in the Central/Midwest that do not provide video for a decent percentage of their matches.

Tonight, the Albion/Hope feed was of high quality, but I never knew the score. If you have influence at your schools and you don’t have a graphic overlay or announcers, please ask video operators to pan to the scoreboard every once in a while.

I tried to watch unbeaten Johnson & Wales tonight, but the feed wasn’t very good. I typically have up to a dozen online matches going on a busy night, so I have to think that the problems originated in Rhode Island tonight.
