  1. Kudos to Carthage for laying waste to the West. Hurts but congrats!

Very interested in the CC vs. Whitewater game. Good test for CC.

  2. […] a reminder, my Week 1 top 10 teams were: Emory; Carthage; Calvin; Washington-St. Louis; Juniata; Christopher Newport; UW-Stevens […]

  3. After the 2014 campaign was plagued with injury it appears Colorado College program has some considerable depth this year. Not once has CC played the same line up to include the win over #17UW-Whitewater. The coaching staff appears to be very confident with all the players’ ability to perform. Quite frankly they are legit and a contender for the top 5 if they can stay healthy. The SCAC’s Southwestern matches will be key competing against their consistently solid defense that has historically played havoc for opponents. Top spot in the west most likely will be among CMS, CC, and Southwestern. CMS lost to Carthage then Carthage loosing to Hendrix bummer for CMS. The Pacific Northwest has some talent to view but unfortunately their conference battles don’t leave much room throughout the year to be tested by top programs in the nation.

  4. Thank you! Always great to read region-specific takes. I like CC quite a bit. In no particular order I also like Whitworth, CMS, CLU and Southwestern in the West Region. I’m on board with UTD and UMHB to a certain extent too.

Still not convinced about CMS without Breitweiser. I’ll come around eventually, but with her I think CMS is nearly a slam dunk in the West.
