  1. #4 Elmhurst looked very good this weekend. one of their weaknesses from last year was their setting. one graduated but Katie rueffer is still there setting in a 6-2 with a senior transfer lauren lorenz. its obvious the transfer is clearly better. Elmhurst would do well to go to a 6-1 and let the transfer set full-time. saw enough bad sets and ball mishandling calls against rueffer this weekend. junior oh sam szarmach has elevated her play. the most dominant hitter in the gym this weekend. middle attack still outstanding in Reynolds and wilks and libero Hannah lessen was terrific. need more consistency from rs marci novak but otherwise, Elmhurst beefed up their schedule and looks like a legitimate national contender.

  2. Thanks for the comment. I didn’t get to watch much from Elmhurst this weekend. I saw a total of maybe four sets at that tourney because I focused on streams from St. Ben’s, Witt and WUSTL. There were far too many good matches that I had to pass up.
