11/10: Calvin, St. Thomas advance to Elite 8; 6 other finals set

Two moved on to the final tournament in Holland, Mich. The other six regionals got whittled to two.

St. Thomas Regional final
#8 St. Thomas 3, #24 Saint Benedict 1 UST’s Kelly Foley had 15 kills, 6 blocks.

Calvin Regional final
#1 Calvin 3, #2 Wittenberg 2 Set 5 ended 15-12; CC’s Megan Rietema had 51 assists, 15 digs, 13 kills, 6 blocks.

Elmhurst Regional semifinals
#3 Washington-St. Louis 3, #15 Chicago 0 WUSTL’s Allison Zastrow had 41 assists.
#9 Elmhurst 3, #20 Wisconsin-Whitewater 2 Set 5 ended 15-11; EC’s Megan Reynolds had 12 kills, 8 blocks.

Clarkson Regional semifinals
New Paltz 3, #17 Cortland 0 SUNYNP had 12 aces.
Clarkson 3, Middlebury 1 CU’s Aishvina Arasu had 19 kills.

Salisbury Regional semifinals
#22 Eastern 3, Stevenson 0 EU’s Erin Hillman went 12-1-24.
#14 Salisbury 3, Richard Stockton 1 SU’s Carley Todd had 34 assists, 10 kills, 10 digs.

Connecticut College Regional semifinals
Bowdoin 3, Springfield 2 Set 5 ended 15-7; BC’s Sophia Cornew had 55 assists, 20 digs.
UMass Boston 3, Connecticut College 2 Set 5 ended 18-16; UMB’s Shannon Thompson had 24 kills, 6 blocks.

Christopher Newport Regional semifinals
#4 Emory 3, #23 Juniata 1 EU’s Breanah Bourque went 24-4-41.
#5 Christopher Newport 3, Randolph-Macon 2 Set 5 ended 15-12; CNU’s Abby Hogge had 32 digs.

Cal Lutheran Regional semifinals
#12 Puget Sound 3, #21 Chapman 0 UPS’s Jackie Harvey had 14 kills, 16 digs.
#7 Cal Lutheran 3, #25 La Verne 1 CLU’s Kylie McLogan had 28 kills, 27 digs.
