AVCA 2012 Week 10 poll: No clear No. 1 heading into regionals

Washington-St. Louis had a long run as the top team in the country. There were weeks when the Bears were unanimous, but the No. 1 team heading into regionals is much less clear. I had Calvin. The AVCA Week 10 poll has Calvin as well, but the Knights have company in the eyes of some voters. New No. 1 Calvin got 17 of the 24 top votes, No. 2 Wittenberg snagged six and No. 3 WUSTL managed to hang on to one.

No. 4 Emory and Christopher Newport round out the top five. Emory had to beat CNU and WUSTL before voters agreed that Emory may deserve to be ranked higher than CNU.

Big movers: No team rose more than two places or dropped more than three. The top 25 teams remained the same as last week.

Other Central and Midwest teams in the Week 10 poll: No. 8 St. Thomas; No. 9 Elmhurst; No. 11 Wartburg; No. 15 Chicago; No. 19 UW-Stevens Point; No. 20 UW-Whitewater; No. 24 Saint Benedict.
Receiving votes: UW-Eau Claire.
