10/26: Benedictine clinches #2 seed, Point clinches WIAC share, Bethel sweeps St. Ben’s

UW-Eau Claire 3, Northwestern 1. UWEC hit .333. UWEC middle Liz Amici went 15-2-24. UWEC setter Emily Neave had 52 assists and 10 digs. NWC opposite Greta King had 20 kills. UWEC is 18-11 overall. NWC is 25-4.

No. 9 Concordia 3, Augsburg 0. CCM has won 30 consecutive sets. CCM middle Katie Vohnoutka went 12-2-27 with four blocks. CCM outside Jenna Green had 13 kills and 21 digs. CCM is 9-1 in the MIAC. AC is 6-4.
No. 11 St. Thomas 3, Hamline 0. UST won its 14th straight match. UST outside Jill Greenfield had 10 kills and 10 digs. UST libero Kaitlain Wachter had 25 digs. UST is 9-1 in the MIAC. HU is 1-9.
Bethel 3, Saint Benedict 0. Two sets went extras. BU middles Amy Werner and Caitie Helle combined to go 25-5-55 with nine blocks. BU setter Kate Smith had 35 assists. Both are 8-2 in the MIAC.
Gustavus 3, St. Catherine 0. GAC clinched a MIAC Playoff berth. GAC setter Malea Noennig had 38 assists. GAC middle Angela Ahrendt had 12 kills and four blocks. GAC is 6-4 in the MIAC. St. Kate’s is 3-7.
Saint Mary’s 3, Carleton 1. Three sets went extras. SMU outside Kara Grant had 17 kills and 20 digs. SMU outside Sabrina Bushlack had 18 kills. Both are 3-7 in the MIAC.
St. Olaf 3, Macalester 0. SOC middle Maggie Prunty went 9-1-15. SOC is 3-7 in the MIAC. MC is 1-9.

No. 21 UW-Whitewater 3, UW Oshkosh 2. Set 5 ended 15-5. UWW wins in a variety of ways. Tonight it was with a solid back row, timely net touches and a take-what-they-give-you display of finesse on the attack. UWW outside Sofia Sanchez had 18 kills and 12 digs. UWW is 5-1 in the WIAC. UWO is 3-3.
RV UW-Stevens Point 3, UW-La Crosse 1. UWSP clinched a share of its first WIAC title in 30 years. UWSP won its 17th consecutive match. UWSP outside Sarah Wildish went 13-2-31 with 11 digs. UWSP middle Morgan Bartkowiak had 10 kills and 10 blocks. UWSP ended 7-1 in the WIAC. UWL is 1-5.

Cornell 3, Loras 1. CC clinched the No. 3 seed at the IIAC Tournament. CC middle Taylor Dicus went 19-3-36 with six blocks. CC is 4-3 in the IIAC. LC ended 4-4.

• Northwestern 3, Crown 0. NWC had 49 kills and hit .362. NWC outside Chelsea Koth had 13 kills. NWC is 12-0 in the UMAC. CC is 2-10.
St. Scholastica 3, Northland 0. CSS had 43 kills and hit .487. CSS outside Anna Zyvoloski went 15-1-27. CSS is 11-1 in the UMAC. NC is 0-12.
Martin Luther 3, Bethany 2. Set 5 ended 16-14. MLC clinched a UMAC Tournament berth. MLC had 16 blocks. Teams combined for 117 kills. MLC Emily Boldt went 17-1-35 with six blocks. MLC is 8-4 in the UMAC. BLC is 5-7.

Dominican 3, Rockford 0. DU hit .382. DU middle Becca Fritz went 7-0-11. DU ended 12-0 in the NAC and will be the No. 1 seed at the NAC Tournament. RC ended 5-7 and will be the No. 8 seed.
Benedictine 3, Wisconsin Lutheran 1. BU setter Abby Sattler had 46 assists. BU middle Brooke Bowman went 9-1-17 with six blocks. BU ended 10-2 in the NAC and will be the No. 2 seed at the NAC Tournament. WLC ended 8-4 and will be the No. 4.
Concordia Chicago 3, Alverno 0. CUC middle Bianca Gordon went 10-1-17 with four blocks. CUC ended 6-6 in the NAC and will be the No. 6 seed at the NAC Tournament. Alverno ended 0-12.
Concordia Wisconsin 3, MSOE 1. CUW outside Brittany Deinlein went 19-1-48 with 24 digs. CUW ended 5-7 in the NAC. MSOE ended 2-10.

St. Norbert 3, Ripon 0. SNC clinched a share of the MWC title. RC hit negative. SNC middle Danielle Remy went 9-0-18. SNC is 7-0 in the MWC. RC is 1-7.
Carroll 3, Lake Forest 1. CU middle Emily Cecka had 11 kills and six blocks. LFC outside Cori Cooper had 20 kills and 13 digs. CU is 5-3 in the MWC. LFC is 5-2.

• Spalding 3, Fontbonne 0. SU is 12-2 in the SLIAC. FU is 4-10.
• Eureka 3, MacMurray 0. EC is 5-9 in the SLIAC. MC is 1-12.
